CalPERS Health Open Enrollment Starts September 11

SACRAMENTO, CA - The California Public Employees' Retirement System annual health Open Enrollment period for the 2018 calendar year starts September 11 and ends October 6, 2017. During this time, members enrolled in CalPERS health plans have the opportunity to review health coverage options for 2018 from the system's seven Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and three self-funded Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) health plans.

New Voting Options for the 2017-2018 Member-At-Large CalPERS Board of Administration Election

CalPERS has announced their new voting procedures for the 2017-2018 election in hopes of increasing voter participation.  CalPERS is changing the way 470,000 retirees receive their direct deposit receipts

News Release | Social Security Announces New Online Service for Replacement Social Security Cards in California

The Social Security Administration introduced the expansion of online services for residents of California available through its my Social Security portal at www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount. Nancy A. Berryhill, Acting Commissioner of Social Security, announced that residents of California can use the portal for many replacement Social Security number (SSN) card requests. This will allow people to replace their SSN card from the comfort of their home or office, without the need to travel to a Social Security office.
