New Update: PBI Security Breach
Dear Valued Stakeholders,
Below is an update on the PBI security breach:
- Experian has enrolled approximately 137,400 CalPERS members in credit monitoring. This represents approximately 17.8% of all members impacted.
- Experian has received more than 38,700 calls. The average wait time has decreased to 1-1/5 mins.
- CalPERS’ Contact Center has received more than 4,600 calls and we have responded to more than 4,000 emails to the dedicated incident email box at PBIquestions@calpers.ca.gov and myCalPERS secure emails.
- We continue to update the Frequently Asked Questions on our website based on feedback from members and stakeholders.
